Virginia’s Family Thanksgiving One of the big family events that my family and I have every year is Thanksgiving. All of my family from my dad’s side comes from out of town. When everyone arrives it sounds like you’re in an airport, it is so loud. You hear all the fathers talking and laughing and catching up with what has been going on. The mothers are doing the same thing. You also here pots and pans clanking and clacking. One of my favorite parts is the smells. They are all like tasting a delicious meal. You smell the turkey basking in the oven and, the delicious smell of gravy and many tasty casseroles. My very favorite part is the food. The food is like putting a piece of heaven into your mouth. You want to stay in the moment forever. After we eat, normally the kids would go and play while the grown ups did the dishes and talked. You would see all the little toddlers wobbling around like little ducks, and other kids chasing after them. Every year I look forward to Thanksgiving. I can’t wait until this year!!
